Please inform me of any skin problems, trouble spots, or any issues you may have had with other sunless tanning products.
Please read my maintenance page. There is a long list of Sun-kissed💋 approved moisturizers, face wash products & Sunscreen products. I highly recommend to purchase the correct products before your Sun-kissed💋session.

PRE CARE INSTRUCTIONS
Before you come in for your spray tan, you should…
... be aware that if you are PMSing, or on your first couple of days of your menstrual cycle, the spray tan can either developed very light or not at all. 1 out of 50 clients experience this.
Please schedule accordingly whenever possible.
Complete all other beauty services before the day if your appointment (like manicures, pedicures, shaving, waxing, lash appointments, facials, and massages)!
Wax 48 hours before your appointment. Wax can stay on the skin and make it difficult for the tanning solution to hold.
Shower and exfoliate at least 4 hours before your appointment. This gives your pores time to close to avoid discoloration or lighter tan results. If you must shower right before your appointment, only do a 60 second ‘in and out’ cold rinse, no soap, shampoo etc, to keep those pores closed!
Come to your appointment with clean skin. No lotions or other beauty products.
Bring (or wear) loose-fitting clothes to change into immediately after your spray tan. (No jeans or jean shorts, socks, yoga pants, leggings, tight bras, tight necked tops, no sneakers/boots/Uggs.) Think light summer dresses, flowy pants and tops  ~ baggy, loose waisted drawstring sweat pants (not elastic) and wide necked tops for the cooler months.
Bring flip flops.
I strongly recommend to wear loose fitting long pants and long sleeve tops Pajamas to bed if you have an appointment that requires a rinse the following morning. Loose top and loose bottoms.
The week before your appointment, if possible, please moisturize your skin daily.
Hydrations helps prepare your skin, and will make your tan last longer.
Do not use dove soaps of any kind, oil based body scrubs, or oil based lotions the night before appointment when prepping.
Exfoliate at end of shower (night before) scrubbing off all soap, shampoo, conditioner & shaving cream residue ~ pay extra attention to elbows, knees, feet, neck & underarms. Slough it all off!
You MUST shower & exfoliate your body AGAIN with non-moisturizing OIL FREE soap, (Clear Pears soap) or preferably no product at all, to remove any residual moisturizer, perfumes or deodorant, but please DO NOT apply any lotions, deodorants, perfumes, or make-up. If you can not avoid deodorant, or makeup, we will remove it at your session.
Washing with a glycerine bar soap, such as 'Pears' transparent original bar soap, leaves the least amount of soap residual on your skin. Your skin can now easily absorb the spray tanning formula that will give you a beautiful and flawless tan.
Do not use razors with moisture strips.
Bandages or sports tape residue must be 100% removed, the residue will block solution from being absorbed.
If you had a recent sunburn - even as far as a month ago - please know that there is a high probability that your spray tan will look blotchy & your skin could peel wherever you have been sunburned, regardless if you already peeled or not. Sunburned skin is damaged skin and very dry skin. I strongly advise, in order to avoid me having to send you home without getting a spray tan, to re-schedule your appointment until some sufficient time has passed for your skin to heal.
Park as close to my front door as possible to avoid any exposure to rain drops & of course bring an umbrella ☂
On hot days, please park in the shade in my driveway and leave windows rolled down to allow the breeze to keep your car cooler.
Leather/vinyl seats? Bring a large towel to cover so that you avoid sweating off your fresh tan from sitting on leather/vinyl seat.

POST CARE INSTRUCTIONS
Stay away from all moisture until your first shower (rinse), longer, 24 hrs, with rapid rinse solutions. This means no showers, no work outs, no cleaning, no lotions, and no liquid foundations on the skin.
Until your rinse time, wear loose fitting clothing. (No denim, cami tops, no bras, and no yoga pants.) Ideally, wear a long t-shirt dress.
We know it’s hard, but keep your hands off your hot self. No leg crossing or other skin to skin contact.
Do NOT go more than than 12-14 hours after your appointment to rinse.
Exercising within the first 36 hours after a spray is not recommended.
Sneakers, socks and sweat will make the tan on your feet fade faster & often unevenly.
Your First Shower (rinse) After Your Spray Tan
Be gentle. Use warm water and the palms of your hands to rinse bronzer off taking no more than 3-4 minutes.
Please do not pee in the shower with a spray tan, the amonia in the urine will cause your tan to streak.
No hot water or soap. You will see the bronzer wash away – this is normal!

Do not moisturize after a rapid rinse tan when you rinse, only after rinse using a regular tan, as instructed.
Pat yourself dry, please don’t rub.
Seeing streaks? That means you rinsed to quickly and did not gently skim your entire to remove bronzer, jump back in to shower and rinse some more.
Moisturize. Do not use lotions with a high alcohol content such a CeraVe. Use moisturizers that are spray tan approved and listed on my maintenance page.
NO BABY OIL EVER.
Do not use acne products, or acne spot treatments, as they will cause unsightly white spots.
Shave the least amount of times possible as each shave removes a bit of tan. Always use a brand new razor, without a moisturizing strip, and barely touch you skin as you shave. Use a bit of your hair conditioner as a shaving product.
Herbal Essences shampoo & conditioner has been known to strip a spray tan, so I suggest to avoid using it.

The Week Ahead
To preserve your tan, avoid swimming, long showers (never hot), baths, steam rooms, hot tubs and saunas.
Avoid harsh chemicals such as chlorine, products containing acids, massages, fashion tape, bandages, and anything else that may strip your tan.
Moisturize in the AM and PM with an oil-free moisturizer. From Day 3 onwards, you can use our Tan Extender as your moisturizer.
Don’t exfoliate until you are ready to say goodbye. And, when you are, use an exfoliating mitt to create the perfect canvas for your next tan.
After 6-7 days, depending on your speed of fading, GENTLY exfoliate your skin (head to toe) each day so that your tan fades evenly. We have all seen those people who look patchy holding on to their spray tan for dear life, I am sure you wish to avoid that!

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

What do I wear to my appointment?
Wear dark and loose clothing. No yoga pants, no denim, no sports bras. Tight clothing can leave marks! If possible, wear a long black t-shirt dress. As for shoes, best to wear flip flops. If it's raining on the day of your appointment, bring an umbrella as rain can also streak your spray tan!

How long will my spray tan last?
Your spray tan should last anywhere 7-12 days, depending on your activity, aftercare and shower water temperature.

Aren’t spray tans orange?
Not this one! The orange discoloration is due to improper application, color mixology, an inexperienced spray tanner, and improper skin care either before or after the spray tan. Follow my prep and aftercare instructions and you will be the perfect shade of bronze.

Do I tan naked?
Most babes tan nude to avoid the tan lines. If you prefer a tan line, I recommend a thin thong.
For the boys: Minimal clothing, such as boxers or briefs.

How long does an appointment take?
Your spray tan will usually take 15–20 minutes, but I can’t get enough of you. So I allocate a full 30 minutes for each client. Longer for 1st time clients.💋

Can I still tan in the sun with a spray tan?
You can, but why age prematurely and damage that beautiful skin of yours?! Seriously, wear SPF. Spray tans provide no UV protection.

Other facts to keep in mind:

A woman's tan might develop differently depending on hormonal changes. (ovulation, menstruation, new meds incl. birth control, stress & pregnancy).
While not common, hormones may cause streakiness, patchiness, uneven fade, or produce little to no color.
Do not use AHA products (Alpha Hydroxy Acid, Glycolic, Lactic, Malic, Citric, and Tartaric acids)
Anti-acne products that exfoliate, or dry the skin such as Accutane, and Salicylic acid, can affect tan fading. Skin can also peel, which can look unacceptable, especially with a tan.

Antibiotics or other medications can also affect your tan.
Anti-aging products that “renew” or “refresh” or otherwise exfoliate skin.
Band-Aids, or adhesive tape, applied to skin will pull the “tan” off.
No bar soaps, especially deodorant, or antibacterial varieties.

One bar soap and/or shower gel in particular to avoid is Dove.
Curel lotions also have been known to ruin a tan.
No BHA Products (Beta Hydroxy Acids-salicylic acid)
Body hair bleach products will bleach the tan, non-bleach skin lighteners are fine.
Bore type adhesive facial strips, or “peel-off” masks
Bug spray, perfumes, body sprays when sprayed directly onto skin, can remove, fade or crack the tan. Instead, spray clothing instead of directly onto skin.
Facial masks and exfoliating scrubs. It is recommended that you do these before a spray tan.
Hair Inhibiting Lotions (Jergens, etc.) tend to make a sunless tan yellow.
If you exercise and sweat heavily your tan can fade faster, especially in body fold areas. (arm bends, armpits, knee bends, between breasts etc.)
If you use hand lotion daily please make sure it is also spray tan approved.
